The Suite was developed by Christina Taylor-Donovan, an early literacy systems leader with more than 13 years of experience spanning classroom teaching, K–3 reading intervention, K–2 instructional coaching, district-level Science of Reading support, and family literacy.
Her experience informs resources that connect classroom instruction, staff learning, assessment, and family partnership. Teams can use them within their existing meetings and routines.
The Suite began as a tool I needed myself. Even with years of literacy experience, it was difficult to hold every strand of knowledge, evidence, and implementation detail in mind while immediately determining the clearest next step. I began organizing the work so I could think and act more precisely, and eventually realized the same system could help other literacy leaders do the same.
Start with the question your team needs to answer. Use the relevant resource first, then draw on the others as needed.
The Strategist Guide includes 15 illustrative cases and three adaptable session outlines. Facilitators select readings and prepare materials. Some cases extend beyond K–3; the Blueprint focuses on K–3 systems.
